Skiiling AI does not collect, store, transmit, or share your personal data or the content of your learning activity with us or any third party. We — the developer — operate no servers that receive your data, so there is nothing on our side that can see what you do in the app. The only place any of your data can go beyond your Mac is your own private iCloud account, which only you can access (see "iCloud Sync" below).
All AI features — tutoring, hands-on labs, mock interviews, quizzes, grading, skill paths and roadmaps — run locally on your Mac. Depending on your setup, the app uses Apple Intelligence built into macOS or an open model you download once that then lives on your device. Your prompts, answers and work are processed on-device and are never sent to us or any third party.
Skiiling AI does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email, or phone number to use the app.
If you choose to use a downloadable AI model, the app fetches the model files from their hosting provider so they can run locally on your Mac. This transfers only the model itself to your device — none of your personal data or learning activity is sent as part of a download.
Skiiling AI is a paid app offered through an auto-renewable subscription (a monthly and an annual option), each starting with a 7-day free trial. The purchase, billing and renewal are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. Skiiling AI does not collect, receive, see, or store your name, card number, or any other payment information — Apple processes all of that under Apple's Privacy Policy. To verify whether your subscription is active, the app checks your entitlement with the App Store on your device; this check does not transmit any of your learning activity. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your App Store account settings.
Skiiling AI contains:
The app stores your own content and preferences — such as your progress, skill path, roadmap and settings — in your Mac's local storage. This local copy is removed if you delete the app.
So your progress can follow you across your Macs, Skiiling AI uses Apple's iCloud (via CloudKit) to sync your learning progress — the log of lessons, activities and results you've completed — to your own private iCloud account. This happens automatically when you're signed into iCloud on your Mac; if you're not signed into iCloud, the app works fully from local storage and nothing is synced. The synced data is stored in your private iCloud database, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is visible only to you — we, the developer, have no access to it and cannot see it. Only your progress log is synced; your AI prompts, answers and code are never included. To stop syncing, sign out of iCloud or turn off iCloud for the app; deleting the app removes its local copy.
Skiiling AI does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app collects no personal data, and any subscription purchase is handled by Apple under a parent's or guardian's Apple Account.
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
