How do I restore my purchase after reinstalling?

Open the app → tap any Pro feature → on the paywall, tap Restore Purchases at the bottom. Your subscription will be restored instantly using your Apple ID.

My subscription shows active but the app says Free

Go to Settings → tap Restore Purchases. If the problem persists, sign out of your Apple ID in Settings, sign back in, and try again. Your purchase is always tied to your Apple ID, never lost.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → tap GoSmart PDF → Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro access until the current period ends.

Is my data safe? Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens 100% on your device. No files ever leave your phone or Mac. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

The merge/OCR feature isn't working

Make sure you're on iOS 16.6 or later (macOS 13.5+). Force-quit the app and reopen it. If the issue persists, email us with your iOS version and device model.

How do I use the Tax Portfolio (Indexed Merge)?

Go to the Invoice section → Tax Portfolio. Add your invoice PDFs, optionally set a title, then tap Generate. The app creates a single PDF with a cover page index and clickable bookmarks for each invoice.

I was charged but the app shows Free

This is almost always an Apple ID mismatch — you subscribed on a different Apple ID. Try restoring on the correct account. If you're certain it's an error, contact Apple Support directly at reportaproblem.apple.com for a refund.
