Privacy Policy

1. No Data Collection

GoSmart PDF does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or document content. We have no servers that receive your files. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

2. Documents and Files

All PDF processing — merging, splitting, compressing, encrypting, redacting, annotating, signing, and OCR — is performed locally on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks (PDFKit, Vision, CoreGraphics). Your documents are never uploaded anywhere.

3. Camera and Photo Library

If you use the OCR scanner feature, the app requests access to your camera or photo library solely to capture or select images for text recognition. These images are processed locally by Apple's Vision framework and are never transmitted off your device.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. GoSmart PDF never sees or stores your payment information. Your purchase status is verified directly with Apple's servers.

5. Analytics and Tracking

GoSmart PDF contains:

• No analytics SDKs
• No advertising frameworks
• No crash reporting that transmits data
• No third-party tracking of any kind

6. Local Storage

The app stores only your preferences (such as your subscription tier and author name for annotations) in your device's local UserDefaults storage. This data never leaves your device.

7. Children's Privacy

GoSmart PDF does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
